Suggestions to PMO 8: My Gov: 10 measures to make India the hub for Spiritual Tourism

My government is a marvelous portal for participation of common Indian citizens for developing the nation. There are different groups and one can join five groups plus his/her own district group. He can write his/her views in comments section of chosen group. He/she can also chose a task to complete.    The My Gov site provides an opportunity to every Indian citizen to come out for development of the country. Our PM Narendra Modi has rightly said that if every citizen takes one step India would be ahead by 125 crore steps. 

I have been actively participating in My Gov site with my suggestions in comment sections of chosen groups and completing tasks and urge you to Sign up the site My Gov.  I have participated in a task that asked  10 measures to make India the hub for Spiritual Tourism  and posted this in the relevant section. I am also posting this in this blog as suggestions to PMO. I have written seven suggestions to PLO in this blog and I am gladly acknowledging that our PL has endorsed several of those. 

The ten measures I suggested  to make India the hub for spiritual tourism are as follows.

1.       Encouraging foreign university research projects about religions of India: Large numbers of universities in Europe and America along with few in Asian countries and Australia are teaching religion as a subject. There are many universities that have departments for studying Indian religions.  Academicians and scholars from those universities used to come to India for research and study purposes. However, there are few institutes in India to support them.  I, personally have been volunteering myself to support them since 1983.  I found that Indian libraries, museums and institutions at large are not much supportive.  Moreover, there are only few research institutes in India. If we can make infrastructure and an environment we can surely attract more researchers who in turn become the Brand Ambassadors for our spiritual tourism.

2.        Making online directory: The world has gone digital and online. We should prepare online directories of our pilgrimage centers, temples, shrines, meditation and Yoga centers etc. It will be better to include list of festivals and events organized India wide.  A government portal will be very helpful where individuals, religious trusts and societies can post events, festivals etc for tourist attraction.

3.       Digital promotion:  Besides online directory we can promote art and architecture of our marvels (Temples, mosques, churches, Gurudwaras, shrines etc), festivals and events through online tools such as digital pictures, Videos, audio CDs etc. Indian devotional songs (Classical music) will add flavor to promotion.  Digitalization of our libraries having old manuscripts and holy books using DLI is worth.  I have been doing both these since last few years.

4.        Facilitating foreign tourists: Facilities to foreign tourists are in poor stage in India. Smaller countries likes of Thailand and Macau in Asian region have much more facilities in cheaper rate. We look at foreign tourists as money machines but do not care for them.

5.        Friendly behavior: Friendly behavior is the most essential part of attracting tourists. We speak of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and boast of our culture. However, we and especially government officials behave most unfriendly with the tourists. We have to train our officials for “Atithi Devo Bhava” and make out citizens at large aware of the same.

6.        Cleanliness especially in pilgrimage centers and temples: The Prime Minister of India has launched a campaign today for clean India. This will definitely add to number of tourists. We have to emphasize on maintaining our temples etc clean. Normally we find Jain temples, Gurudwara, Mosques and churches clean but the Hindu temples and shrines. Varanasi is famous for its Ghats at the bank of river Ganga. I found most of the Ghats very dirty during my recent visit. We spend thousands of rupees daily in Ganga Arati but don’t spend anything in cleaning Dasashwamedh Ghat. During my visit, I found local and foreign tourists turning nose up  and raising eyebrows at dirt even in the river Ganga.  It will be better if Hindu priests, clergymen, religious leaders and management of trusts think cleanliness is next to Godliness.

7.        Arranging world class festivals: Foreign tourists love Indian festivals. Large numbers of tourists visit Jaipur, my city, to see Diwali festival and kite festival (on Makar Sankranti). We have to increase number and quality of religious and spiritual festivals to attract more tourists.  

8.        Encouraging Yoga and spiritual healing:  Yoga attracts large numbers of people in the western world. They, in general. Use it to keep themselves physically fit. We know that healthcare is very costly affair in the countries likes of US and EU. Moreover, there are chronic diseases beyond modern medicines. People look for spiritual healing in several cases.  Developing Yoga and spiritual centers will be a right step to make India a spiritual tourist hub.

9.       Meditation camps: Large numbers of foreigners love meditation for spiritual purposes and to get rid of physical and mental disorders and agony. Several religious and spiritual institutes organize meditation camps. Encouraging those camps and advertising those worldwide will attract more spiritual tourists in India.  Vipassana meditation centers are attracting large numbers of mediators from across the globe.

10.    Better connectivity to religious and spiritual centers: Most of our pilgrimage centers don’t have good connectivity. There are large numbers of pilgrimage centers those have no railway stations (eg Sammet Shikhar at Jharkhand). Even bus connectivity is poor what to talk about airports.  We have to provide better connectivity to attract more tourists.

There are many other suggestions that can be helpful in developing India a spiritual tourist destination. After all India is known for its spirituality since millenniums.  Private public partnership should be encouraged where government can join hands with religious trusts and societies along with communities and people at large. I have suggested several times and requested government for such a partnership in Varanasi and waiting for a response till date.

Speech of Narendra Modi at UN General assembly

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been visiting New York in America where he delivered speech at UN General assembly today. He delivered his maiden speech at UN in Hindi, National language of India. Main features of his speech are as follows:

1. The United Nations Organization, UNO will enter in its 70th year of establishment the next year. The world has changed since its establishing.  The working of UN needs radical change. The UN have to be democratized. Participation of even smallest countries in decision making process is required.

2. Why do we go with G-1 or G -7 or G - 20 when we have UNO. There should be G -all.

3. We have to focus on those who don't have facilities of drinking water and sanitation. We have to think of homeless people living in the earth.

4. The UN is not an appropriate forum to raise Kashmir issue. We are ready for bilateral talk with Pakistan in a terrorist free environment. (Answering to Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan PM).

5. There should be no war in the seas and oceans, space and cyber space.

6 He pledged for universal brotherhood and sustainable development, philosophy of India.

7. He urged for declaring a global day for Yoga.

8. He urged for action taking organization for fighting global terrorism. He told that all the countries by and large are affected with terrorism.

नरेंद्र मोदी, सेना, अलगाववादी एवं जम्मू कश्मीर में बाढ सहायता

नरेंद्र मोदी एवं जम्मू कश्मीर में बाढ की स्थिति बेहद ख़राब है. ११३ वर्षों में इस राज्य में ऐसी हालत हुई है। पुरे राज्य विशेष कर घाटी की हालत नाजुक है. लाखों लोग बढ़ की चपेट में आये हैं और काम से काम चार लाख लोगों को बाहर निकलने की आवश्यकता थी।  हमारे प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी जापान यात्रा से वापस लौटते ही स्वयं कश्मीर गए एवं वहां की स्थिति का जायजा लिया।

अपनी कार्यशैली के अनुरूप ही उन्होंने तत्काल राज्य को एक हज़ार करोड़ की सहायता राशि का ऐलान किया। इतना ही नहीं तत्काल ही भारतीय थलसेना, वायुसेना यहाँ तक की नौसेना को भी पीड़ितों की सहायता के लिए नियुक्त कर दिया। भारतीय सेना के ये जांबाज भी तत्काल मुस्तैदी के साथ राहत एवं बचाव कार्य में जुट गए.

सेना के इन जवानो ने अब तक एक लाख तीस हज़ार से अधिक लोगों को सुरक्षित स्थानो तक पंहुचा दिया है।  इसके लिए वासी सेना के हेलीकॉप्टरों का भी उपयोग किया जा रहा है।  चार सौ से अधिक्  हेलीकोप्टर इस काम में रात दिन लगे हुए हैं.  लोगों को बचने के आलावा ये रहत सामग्री भी गिरा रहे हैं. सेना के साथ साथ राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ भी कश्मीरियों की सहायता के लिए घर घर जा कर धन संग्रह कर रहा है एवं रहत कार्य में जूट गया है।

भारत सरकार एवं गुजरात सहित अन्य प्रांतीय सरकारों ने सहायता के रूप में भोजन सामग्री, कम्बल आदि भेजे हैं उन्हें सेना के जवानो द्वारा जरूरतमंदों तक पहुंचाया जा रहा है. मोदी जी के निर्देश पर सेना द्वारा किये जा रहे इस कार्य की भूरि भूरि प्रसंशा हो रही है. मोदी जी के घोर विरोधी दिग्विजय सिंह जैसे कोंग्रेसी नेता एवं अरविन्द केजरीवाल जैसे  भी उनकी प्रशंषा के लिए मज़बूर हो गए हैं।  हमेशा उन्हें मुसलमानो का विरोधी बताने वालों के मुह में भी ताला लग गया है. गौरतलब है की कश्मीर मुस्लिम बहुल राज्य है जहाँ से हमेशा अलगाववादी स्वर उठते रहते हैं.

हमेशा सेना एवं भारत सरकार के विरोध में बोलनेवाले पाकिस्तान परस्त हुर्रियत कॉन्फ्रेंस, जे के एल ऍफ़ जैसे अलगाववादी एवं आतंकवादी संगठन कश्मीरियों को सहायता पहुचने में कही दूर दूर तक नज़र नहीं आ रहे हैं.

आज कश्मीरियों को समझ में आ रहा है की ये भावनाएं भड़काने लोग उनके सच्छे हितैषी नहीं हैं वल्कि नरेंद्र मोदी एवं सेना जिनके खिलाफ हमेशा उन्हें भड़काया जाता रहा है, वे ही मुसीबत के समय एक सच्चे दोस्त की तरह उनके काम आ रहे हैं. हालाँकि अभी भी सेना के जवानो पर पत्थर फेंकने से वे बाज नहीं आ रहे हैं  ने स्पष्ट कर दिया है की इन शरारती तत्वों के कारन वे रहत कार्य बंद नहीं करेंगे एवं पीड़ित कश्मीरियों को सहायता करते रहेंगे।

इस वीच बारात सरकार की संस्था एयर इंडिया ने वहां फंसे सैलानियों को बहार लाने के लिए मुफ्त सेवा  का ऐलान कर दिया है एवं VSNL ने सात दिन तक मुफ्त मोबाइल सेवा देने की घोषणा की है. भारत के प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज ट्वीट कर समर्थकों से उनका जन्मदिन समारोह नहीं मानाने की अपील की है. उन्होंने कहा है की समारोह में व्यय होनेवाले धन एवं समय को बाढ़ पीड़ितों की सहायता में लगाया जाये।

नमामि गंगे, वाराणसी

पिछले १०-१२ दिनो से   (२१ अगस्त से ३१ अगस्त, २०१४) मैं वाराणसी था. लगभग ४०-४५ वर्षों के बाद फिर से इस पुण्यभूमि में जाने का अवसर मिला था।  इतने वर्षों में भी वहां विशेष बदलाव नहीं आया. वहां के मंदिर, पवित्र गंगा और पुरानी गलियों में कोई खास बदलाव नहीं आया है।  गंगा जरूर बहुत मैली हुई है. इस दौरान गंगा आरती देखने दशाश्वमेध घाट गया, आरती का दृश्य नयनाभिराम था परन्तु घाट में व्याप्त गन्दगी मन को खिन्न कर रही थी. आसपास खड़े सफाई पसंद विदेशियों से नज़ारे मिलाना कठिन हो रहा था.

नरेंद्र मोदी ने प्रधान मंत्री बनते ही गंगा की सफाई को अपनी प्राथमिकता बनाया है जिससे उम्मीद की किरण जागती है. वाराणसी उनका चुनाव क्षेत्र भी है. अभी उनकी जापान यात्रा के दौरान वाराणसी को जापानी शहर क्योटो के तर्ज़ पर विकसित करने की चर्चा भी सामने आई.

गंगा के लिए अलग मंत्रालय एवं नमामि गंगे परियोजना से मोदी ने अपनी मंशा ज़ाहिर कर दी है. लोक जागरण एवं जन भागीदारी इस परियोजना का महत्वपूर्ण पक्ष है. वाराणसी के विभिन्न धार्मिक समुदायों, ट्रस्टों, मंदिरों आदि की भागीदारी से यह कार्य सुगमता से किया जा सकता है।  बनारस के घाटों का विकास इस दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम होगा। घाटों के विकास के लिए पहले ही १०० करोड़ रुपये का प्रावधान किया जा चूका है।

चन्द्रावती (चंद्रपुरी) बनारस का एक सुन्दर एवं ऐतिहासिक स्थल है. सारनाथ से यह करीब १५ की मी की दुरी पर स्थित है. यहाँ ८ वें जैन तीर्थंकर श्री चंदप्रभु भगवन के चार कल्याणक होने से यह प्रसिद्द जैन तीर्थ है जहाँ बड़ी संख्या में तीर्थ यात्री विश्व भए से आते रहते हैं. यहाँ गंगा के किनारे मनोरम स्थल पर एक प्राचीन  श्वेताम्बर जैन मंदिर अवस्थित है. जैन समाज इस तीर्थ के विकास में रूचि रखता है एवं इस पर आवश्यक धन खर्च करने को इच्छुक है।  जैन समाज की धार्मिक रूचि को देखते हुए इसमें धन की कमी नहीं आएगी।

यह तीर्थ पुरातात्विक दृष्टि से महत्वपूर्ण है.सं १९१२ में यहाँ के टीलों के भग्नावशेष में ७ ताम्रपत्र मिले थे, जो अब लखनऊ के संग्रहालय में रखे हैं. इनमे से एक ताम्रपत्र के अनुसार गहड़वाल शासक चन्द्रदेव (१०८५-११००) ने चन्द्रावती स्थित मंदिर को भूमि का दान किया था. …… ( वाराणसी के जैन तीर्थ एवं मंदिर, लेखक: ललित चन्द जैन)

इस तीर्थ के विकास में सबसे बड़ी समस्या गंगा का कटाव है, यहाँ गंगा अर्ध चंद्राकर बहती है, जो विशिष्ट सौन्दर्य को जन्म देती है परन्तु यही कटाव का कारन भी है. सन १९४८ में यहाँ के जैन मंदिर परिसर में स्थित जैन दादाबाड़ी गंगा के कटाव का शिकार बनी थी. वर्त्तमान मंदिर बिलकुल गंगा के किनारे पर है एवं यह ऐतिहासिक धरोहर खतरे में है.

मेरा मोदी जी के नेतृत्व की केंद्र सरकार से निवेदन है की इस घाट के संरक्षण में रूचि दिखाए एवं जैन समाज तीर्थ एवं मंदिर का विकास करे. इस प्रकार यह जन भागीदारी का सुन्दर उदाहरण बनेगा। तीर्थ का विकास होने से धार्मिक पर्यटन में वृद्धि होगी, गंगा का कटाव रुकेगा एवं गंगा परियोजना की सार्थकता भी दिखेगी।

मैंने स्वयं इस स्थल को देखा एवं अनुमानित आकलन ये है की करीब ७५० फुट लम्बाई एवं ६५ फुट की ऊंचाई वाले इस गंगा तट के संरक्षण की महती आवश्यकता है. इस मंदिर के पास ही भारतीय पुरातत्व विभाग के कब्जे की जमीन है जिसमे खुदाई होने पर इस ऐतिहासिक धरोहर में पुरातात्विक महत्व की वस्तुएं प्राप्त होने की सम्भावना है. एक पुराण कुवा इसकी ऐतिहासिकता के साक्ष्य के रूप में अभी दृष्टिगोचर होता है.

प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में नरेंद्र मोदी के सौ दिन

प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में नरेंद्र मोदी के सौ दिन पुरे हो गए. अच्छे दिन लाने के वादे के साथ मोदी ने अपना कार्यभार संभाला था, अब वो सपने सच्चे लगने लगे हैं.  आज पुरे दिन इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मीडिआ इन सौ दिनों पर चर्चा में व्यस्त दिखा। जहाँ देश की अधिकांश जनता इन सौ दिनों के काम काज से खुश है वहीँ कांग्रेस पार्टी मोदी सरकार की आलोचना करते दिखी।

एक रायशुमारी के अनुसार मोदी ने प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में प्रधान मंत्री कायर्यालय की विश्वसनीयता पफिर से कायम की है. उन्हें एक निर्णय लेने की क्षमता वाले नायक के रूप में देखा जा रहा है. िेएक में फंसे भारतीयों की सकुशल वापसी हो या नेपाल एवं भूटान जैसे पड़ौसी देशों से सम्वन्ध हों मोदी ने अपनी छाप हर जगह छोड़ी है.

देश के आर्थिक विकास एवं समृद्धि का सुचल शेयर बाजार कुलांचे भर रहा है एवं आज सेंसेक्स २७००० अंकों के भी पार जा पहुंचा जो की अब तक का सर्वाधिक है. काला धन विदेशों से वापस लाने के मामले में देश के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय ने सरकार के काम काज से अपनी संतुष्टि प्रगट की है. देश तीव्र आर्थिक विकास के पथ पर बढ़ना शुरू हो गया है.

प्रधान मंत्री जन धन योजना में एक ही दिन में २ करोड़ से अधिक बैंक खाते खुलवाये गए जो की एक रेकॉर्ड है. भ्रष्टाचार काम होने के स्पष्ट संकेत हैं. महंगाई के मोर्चे पर अभी वांछित सफलता नहीं मिली है परन्तु शीग्र ही उस पर भी काबू पा लिया जायेगा ऐसी उम्मीद है.

प्रधान मंत्री अभी जापान में हैं एवं जापान के साथ निवेश समझौते से दो लाख करोड़ रुपये के निवेश का मार्ग प्रशस्त हुआ है.

मैं भारत का प्रधान सेवक बोल रहा हूँ

"मैं भारत का प्रधान सेवक बोल रहा हूँ" भारतीय स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर राष्ट्र को संवोधित करते हुए लालकिले की प्राचीर से श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने १५ अगस्त, २०१४ की सुबह जब ये वाक्य कहे तब पूरा देश ख़ुशी से झूम उठा.  आज तक किसी प्रधान मंत्री ने इस प्रकार से नहीं कहा. उन्होंने देश बनाने का आह्वान करते हुए सभी को उसमे भागीदार बनने का आह्वान किया. उन्होंने कहा की यदि आप १२ घंटे काम करेंगे तो मैं १३ घंटे और यदि आप १३ घंटे काम करेंगे तो मैं १४ घंटे काम करूँगा। पूरा देश एक काम करनेवाले प्रधान मंत्री को सुन रहा था जो एक शासक नहीं समाज सुधारक और प्रेरक की भांति उनसे बात कर रहा था.

उन्होंने अपने उद्वोधन में मेक इन इंडिया का नारा दिया एवं निवेशकों को भारत में निवेश करने का न्योता दिया. उन्होंने कहा की भारत को एक आयातक देश से निर्यातक देश बनाना है. देश को निर्माण उद्योग में अग्रणी बनाने का उनका लक्ष्य उन्होंने लालकिले की प्राचीर से स्पष्ट कर दिया।

उन्होंने माता पिताओं से आग्रह किया की वे बेटी को भी उतना ही तरजीह दें जितना बेटों को देते हैं. उनका ये वाक्य मर्मस्पर्शी था की वलात्कार की घटनाओं से सर शर्म से झुक जाता है. भारत के प्रधानमंत्री के रूप मे राष्ट्र के नाम अपने पहले सन्देश में उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री जन धन योजना प्रारम्भ करने की घोषणा की जिसके माध्यम से आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर वर्ग के प्रत्येक परिवार के लिये एक बैंक खता खोला जायेगा।

संसद आदर्श ग्राम योजना के रूप में प्रत्येक सांसद को अपने इलाके में पांच आदर्श ग्राम बनाने का आह्वान किया।  स्वच्छता पर वाल देते हुए उन्होंने एक वर्ष के अंदर प्रत्येक विद्यालय में शौचालय की सुविधा उपलब्ध करने का वादा किया।  उन्होंने कहा की महात्मा गांधी की १५० वीं जयंती २०१९ में आ रही है और स्वच्छ भारत बना कर उन्हें सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की जा सकती है.

देश के संघीय ढाँचे को मज़बूत करने के लिए केंद्र एवं राज्य सरकारों की भागीदारी से जन कल्याण की योजनाएं बनाने की आवश्यकता है इस हेतु से योजना आयोग के पुनर्गठन पर वल दिया। प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने अपने भाषण में अन्य अनेक कल्याणकारी योजनाओं की भी घोषणा की.

आतंकवाद के खतरे के बावजूद उन्होंने बुलेट प्रूफ दीवार हटा कर भाषण दिया। नरेंद्र मोदी ने भाषण के बाद सुरक्षा घेरा तोड़ कर उपस्थित बच्चों से मुलाकात की.

पुरे भारत के सभी संचार एवं समाचार माध्यमों ने मोदी जी के भाषण की भुरु भूरि प्रशंषा करते हुए इसे ऐतिहासिक करार दिया।  इस वक्तव्य ने मोदी के धूर विरोधियों को भी निरुत्तर कर दिया एवं प्रशंषा करने पर मज़बूर कर दिया।

प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में अपने शपथ ग्रहण समारोह में सार्क देश के सभी राष्ट्राध्यक्षों को बुला कर एवं संसद में प्रथम प्रवेश के समय संसद को नमन कर पहले ही वे देश विदेश में चर्चित हो चुके हैं. अब स्वयं को देश का प्रधान मंत्री नहीं अपितु प्रधान सेवक कह कर उन्होंने अपनी विनम्रता एवं देश सेवा के प्रति प्रतिवद्धता ज़ाहिर कर दी है.

Sri Amit Shah, architect of BJP win in Utttar Pradesh is likely to be the next National President of BJP according to the sources.  Sri Rajnath Singh, Present BJP President has sworn in as Union Home Minister in Modi government. Though he has one and half years to hold his office, he will quit as per one person one post principle of BJP.

There were three persons in the race according to TV reports, Sri JP Nadda from Himachal Pradesh, Sri Om Mathur from Rajasthan and Sri Amit Shah from Gujrat.  However, Amit Shah is preferred over two. Tere was a tough time for Amit Shah when CBI charge sheet him in Sohrabuddin encounter case. However, hon'ble court granted his bail petition. 

Amit Shah has done a lot for BJP victory in current Lokabha election.  BJP has gone up from 10 to 71 seats in Uttar Pradesh.  This is a quarter of total Loksabha seats won by BJP.  Amit Shah is the main architect of this victory. It is obvious that BJP could not form a strong government without winning Uttar Pradesh.

It is believed that Amit Shah is the closest among all Modi commanders.  He has wonderful organizational capabilities and a great strategist.  Sangh Parivar has also sent green signal for him, according to news reports.

BJP Parliamentary board, the highest body in the party will sit tomorrow in the Chairmanship of their President Sri Rajnath Singh in New Delhi at 10 AM. It is believed that Sri Rajnath Singh will resign from the post and propose Amit Shah’s name.  Sri Amit Shah will be formally declared as BJP national President after this meeting.

We congratulate Amit Shah anticipating him as next BJP National President and wish him all success.  May BJP flourish in his able leadership.
